Brooks O'Hara
Brooks O’Hara is a life-long people professional having worked as a senior executive for large public and private companies including Gulf States Toyota, Valero Energy, Group 1 Automotive and Chiles Hospitality. As a people consultant, he helped launch Blue Compass, which has since become the second largest RV retailer in the nation. In addition to his people experience, he has developed and managed large company facilities, construction and relocation programs and worked with many national brokers and other facility related vendors.
After a forty year career in Texas, Brooks and his wife Vickie relocated to Bradenton, Florida where they undertook a large renovation project to renovate a 1890 era historic home located on the Manatee River.
Brooks is a SPHR and has an undergraduate degree in Marketing from Florida State University and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. Brooks served on the FSU College of Business HR advisory board for 14 years and has served on boards for the American Red Cross, National Kidney Foundation and Communities in Schools.
Brenda A. Bowers
Results-driven and accomplished Certified Payroll Professional with extensive HRIS and payroll management experience in all aspects of payroll including both union and non-union payroll environments. Brenda spent most of her career continually advancing her management roles for both Scientific Design/Belmont Constructors and Group 1 Automotive.
She started her own consulting business, B. A. Bowers Consulting, LLC in 2019. As a consultant, she has had the priviledge to work for several clients – Parker Lynch (Southside Pharmacy); RV Retailers (now Blue Compass), Chiles Hospitality and multiple assignments with the Spencer Thomas Group leading and assisting implementations or process improvements in ADP Workforce Now and ADP Vantage.
Brenda specializes in HR/Payroll systems implementation, set-up, project work and ad-hoc reporting. She has over twenty years of ADP systems experience – Enterprise V4, V5, Vantage, Workforce Now – including ADP’s tax reporting system, Smart Compliance and Wage Garnishment Payment Systems.
Christine Anderson
Christine is a human resources executive with over thirty years of experience specializing in benefits and compensation within a wide variety of industries including retail automotive, petrochemical, commercial construction, electrical equipment manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. She has worked in companies such as Group 1 Automotive, Gulf States Toyota, Amoco (British Petroleum), Square D Company, Baxter Healthcare Corporation, Rockwell International and Deloitte and Touche.
During Christine’s career throughout the Fortune 250, she focused heavily on employee benefits planning, design, administration, and compliance. This includes health, welfare, and retirement plans. During her eleven-year tenure at Group 1 Automotive, she directed and managed twenty different acquisitions from a benefits and human resources perspective. This included forty distinct dealerships, over 3,000 employees and over one and a half billion in revenue. She also directed several outsourcing conversions.
During the early part of her career, she focused heavily on compensation design and administration. Additionally, she had a yearlong assignment in training and organizational development.
Her most recent project involves talent acquisition for a small commercial construction company grappling with the tight labor market and other outcomes of the post-pandemic era. She was able to fill sixteen positions within a five-month period during record low unemployment in Texas as the rate fell below 4%.
Christine holds a Master of Science in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from Loyola University of Chicago. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Trinity International University.
Sean O'Hara
Sean has extensive experience in employee benefits working for national and regional brokerages as well as on the PEO side.
Sean specializes in all aspects of employee benefits from consulting on plan design options and implementation of benefits plans, to working with national insurance vendors, handling annual renewals, open enrollments and implementing benefits administrative systems.
Sean grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Marketing. He relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida in 2017. He is licensed to sell insurance products in the state of Florida.
